“UNVEIL” Survey Reveals a Life Interrupted by Lupus

The UNVEIL study, which involved over 1,000 people with lupus and lupus caregivers highlights the devastating impact lupus has on all aspects of life including family, work, finances, treatment experiences and overall quality of life.

Dr. Jennifer Tjia  is a geriatrician and palliative care specialist at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and lead author of a new study that showed nursing home patients with advanced dementia were given what the researchers called “medications of questionable benefit.”
